SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in complex engineering environments.
  • Strong background in the full project lifecycle, from requirements capture to delivery.
  • Proficiency with MCAD/PLM tools (e.g., Creo, Autodesk Inventor, Windchill, IFS).
  • Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques.
  • Hands-on experience designing complex, multi-disciplinary systems.
  • Ability to deliver reliable solutions on time and to specification.
  • Eligible for Security Clearance (SC level).
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the design, development, test, and documentation of advanced mechanical assemblies. You will contribute across the full product lifecycle, from concept through to production, delivering solutions that meet challenging technical requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define mechanical architecture, system and sub-system requirements, and support validation and verification.
  • Develop and document mechanical solutions using MCAD/PLM toolsets.
  • Produce and peer review technical documentation, design data packs, and analysis.
  • Support integration, verification, and acceptance testing.
  • Present technical solutions and risk assessments to stakeholders.
  • Provide production and in-service support to internal and external customers.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives.
