Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop lighting systems and components for next-generation products supplied to leading global aircraft manufacturers. This role is ideal for an engineer with deep technical expertise, a passion for aerospace innovation, and the drive to deliver solutions that meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.
You will be directly contributing to products that shape the future of commercial aviation. If you’re passionate about solving engineering challenges and bringing world-class mechanical solutions to life, this role is for you.

Key Details·

  • Lead the mechanical design of components, assemblies, and systems across the full product lifecycle.
  • Develop CAD models, detailed drawings, and documentation to support manufacturing, testing and certification.
  • Perform engineering analyses (thermal, stress, tolerance, FEA) to validate design performance.
  • Collaborate with aircraft OEMs and cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, certification, supply chain) to ensure seamless integration into aircraft platforms.
  • Apply principles of DFM to ensure designs are efficient, cost-effective, and production ready.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace regulations, specifications, and customer requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA, AS9100).
  • Research new materials, technologies, and processes to drive innovation.
  • Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical designs.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE (SKILLS)?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
