Job Purpose At the Engineer II Career Level, you are in charge of delivering straightforward engineering assignments (i.e. testing or drawing components / simple part sets) with available guidance, while expanding the breadth of our technical knowledge and starting to deepen your expertise. Key Accountabilities Engineering Design & Specifications Develop solutions for assigned components, create drawings, and validate designs. Draft engineering specifications ensuring functional safety and effectiveness. Data Analysis & Integration Collect and analyze data independently using standard tools. Integrate parts into the vehicle and coordinate with cross-functional teams (design, testing, manufacturing, etc.). Supplier & Project Coordination Manage supplier requirements, schedules, and issues; may lead guest engineers. Support project plans, schedules, meetings, and contribute to budget/timeline adherence. Process Improvement & Documentation Identify and implement process optimizations and countermeasures for simple problems. Prepare technical documentation for development, testing, and research activities. Professional Development Enhance technical expertise through training, certifications, and industry best practices. Stay updated on regulations and emerging technologies. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Minimum Educational Qualifications: BS in Mechanical, Aero or Automotive Engineering Industrial Design or Equivalent relevant industry experience Minimum Experience: 2 or more years of relevant experience Other Job-Specific Skills: Past experience with CAD software (CATIA V5 or V6 preferred) Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Ability to travel and work overtime as required Workstyle Must be able to work onsite at least 4 days per workweek. 1 remote workday a week may be possible with prior departmental approval.
