We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Technician to join our team in our Irvine office. The Senior Design Technician is responsible for detail, documentation and coordination of HVAC building components. Essential Functions Perform HVAC load calculations. Select equipment such as fans, air handling units, heat exchangers, chillers, etc. Size and layout ductwork and piping. Layout equipment rooms with proper clearance and access. Design and draft details, sections, etc. Confer with project team members and other engineering personnel and prepare design modifications as required. Survey existing conditions and perform field reviews, investigations, processing of submittals during construction phase. Stay abreast of state-of-the-art design through independent reading, attendance of seminars and continuing education. Participate in design, analysis and documentation training. Mentor junior staff. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
