We are looking for a senior level designer to add their skills to our team supporting efforts for ground and weapons systems. This is an exciting and dynamic job opportunity where you’ll help advance the United States military’s ground systems and weapons platforms.

In this job, you will:

  • Perform professional technical work that requires in-depth knowledge and diversified application of design engineering principles, theories, concepts, practices and techniques.
  • Ensure execution of design engineering principles.
  • Report on project status and progress measured against specific plans.
  • Work closely with a team to support the government with the transformation of paper-based documents to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products.
  • Research emerging trends, techniques, methods, and current best practices in the evolution of MBSE, and be willing to be on the forefront and cutting edge of this rapidly growing field.
  • Ensure that program objectives and requirements are met.
  • Prepare review packages, present data to internal customers, provide feedback to improve processes and work to meet engineering objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the systems engineering disciplines and ensure cost-effectiveness when developing design.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years experience in the design engineering field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Creo and NX 3D CAD software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Effective verbal and written skills.
  • Organized, self-guiding, results oriented.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Engineering or Applied Science
  • 5+ years of design experience
  • Experience with Creo CAD software
  • Experience with NX CAD software
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with PDM software #LI-DNI
