QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Possess 12+ years of experience with buildings mechanical systems designs (HVAC, plumbing and/or fire protection)
- Must be proficient with BIM/Revit and AutoCAD
- MicroStation expertise is an asset
- Experience with ACC and complex project delivery is an asset
- P.Eng designation is an asset but not required
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills for effective internal and client interactions
- Exhibit the ability to work on multiple project assignments
- Show proven experience in collaborating with clients, contractors, and other

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Design and development of mechanical systems for buildings and facilities projects while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Collaborating with mechanical engineers to support the implementation of process engineering systems
- Participating in site assessments and reviews to verify the performance and functionality of mechanical systems
- Providing technical support to project teams, contractors, and clients
- Assisting in the preparation of engineering calculations, reports and specifications
- Coordinate with other engineering and architectural disciplines, and actively participate in project planning
- Design and engineer building-related systems, including HVAC, hydronics, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, controls and building automation systems
- Support the design of industrial systems such as compressed air, lubrication, and fueling systems, as well as service connections for machine installations
- Analyze heating and cooling loads using computerized methods
- Assist in the development of engineering study reports
- Facilitate the production of construction documents and construction administration for projects, and review and approve technical documentation under the supervision of a licensed engineer
- Conduct quality assurance checks, foster innovation, and drive continuous improvement within the engineering team
