JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering and drafting, with proficiency in CAD software, specifically Autodesk AutoCAD and Plant3D. This role involves creating detailed technical drawings and specifications for mechanical components and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in CAD software such as Autodesk Plant 3D is essential.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret complex process engineering concepts.
• Experience with technical writing to produce clear documentation for designs.
• Familiarity with PFD and P&ID symbols and principles is essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Salt Lake City, UT 8410

• Develop detailed mechanical drawings using Autodesk software.
• Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Create and maintain documentation for designs, including technical writing of reports and manuals.
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure precision in designs.
• Review and revise designs based on feedback from engineering teams or clients.
• Assist in the build process by providing accurate drawings that guide assembly and installation.
• Maintain organized records of all drafts and revisions for future reference.
