Job Description We are on the hunt for a proactive Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Brisbane and provide practical and economical mechanical engineering solutions that meet client requirements within agreed project timeframes and budgets. You will be responsible for: Leading the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems, including HVAC and associated plant and controls Developing compliant, efficient and constructible mechanical solutions aligned with client, project and regulatory requirements Managing small to large projects, or mechanical scopes within larger multidisciplinary projects Producing and coordinating mechanical designs, documentation, specifications and calculations Coordinating with other building services and design disciplines to achieve integrated outcomes Planning and managing mechanical resources to deliver projects within agreed timeframes and budgets Delivering mechanical contract administration, site inspections and technical support during construction Acting as the primary mechanical engineering liaison with clients, contractors and stakeholders Managing project financial performance related to mechanical scope Providing technical leadership, mentoring and quality review of mechanical engineering outputs Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering 7+ years’ relevant professional experience in building services Ability to travel interstate from time to time RPEQ registered and working towards CPEng accreditation AIRAH membership, MIEAust White Card (CIC) Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical engineering in buildings Sound knowledge of energy engineering principles and quality management systems Broad understanding of other Building Services disciplines Valid Australian driver’s licence Additional Information Egis is committed to creating an inclusive, flexible, and values-led workplace.
