Job Title:Senior Mechanical Engineer Position Summary: Ideate, prototype, design and develop medical and non-medical components/devices/accessories through early-stage design, technical assessments, prototyping, risk assessment and final evaluation Key Responsibilities: Generate new concepts for products and subcomponents that target quantified customer problems and are also able to meet appropriate Design standards and Regulatory standards. Design component and sub assembly ,develop independent proposals and test plans for investigating problems and proving new designs. Lead troubleshooting investigations Partner with D&D Management to implement initiatives supporting strategic direction. Independently designs, plans and executes assigned tasks. Manages small design/development sub-projects (eg a subassembly or a natural subdivision of a development project) as needed. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related Scientific or Engineering discipline is required, or significant equivalent experience. Practical and Theoretical knowledge of mechanical design, especially precision motion structure design. Familiar with common raw material characteristics, proficient in tolerance chain analysis. Track record of timely design and development of new components, subassemblies and products Travel to vendors, customer sites and technical conferences/training possibly up to 10% of time.
