Description

JOIN THE FORGEX CONSULTANTS TEAM!

Do you want to develop world-class robotics, consumer electronics, audio, and medical device products? Are you looking for a collaborative, growth oriented workplace? At FORGEX, we provide our engineers with opportunities to do great engineering work—while supporting their growth, wellness, and autonomy.
We’re currently hiring Senior Mechanical Engineers for full-time and part-time roles. We are looking for engineers who have demonstrated sound, high quality mechanical design engineering work, and who simply love mechanical engineering and product development.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a Product Development work setting
  • Excellent skills in mechanical design, problem-solving and communication
  • Ability to work remotely and onsite, at FORGEX office or the client’s worksite, for project needs
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively
  • Desire for learning, growth, and development in your career as an engineer

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design
  • Strong analytical skills (FEA, FBD, tolerance stackups, thermal analysis, etc.)
  • Hands-on prototyping and debugging experience
  • Experience across the full product lifecycle—from concept to production
  • Proficiency in common production processes: e.g. injection molding, machining, sheet metal, and basic PCBA/FPCA manufacturing
  • Familiarity with additional production processes: e.g. die casting, MIM, extrusion, forging
  • Knowledge of DFx principles and tooling/fixture design
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD (Creo, SolidWorks, and/or Onshape), and creating 2D drawings
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project needs
Responsibilities

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at FORGEX, you will be a key technical contributor on client projects, offering mechanical design expertise from early concept through production ramp. Your day-to-day work will vary from being the sole engineer on a project to being embedded with large, high-performing client teams—remotely and occasionally on-site.

You will:

  • Own mechanical design workstreams from ideation and prototyping to production
  • Analyze mechanical risks and solve complex design challenges using first principles
  • Apply Design-for-Manufacturing principles across various fabrication processes
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with clients, team members, and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in engineering, manufacturing, and product
  • Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and professionalism
