Description
Individually designing mechanical parts and mechanical systems Develop mechanical components and subsystems to meet project and product requirements Participate in mechanical design efforts for new and existing products, with a focus on plastic part design and hardware integration. Contribute to the design of injection molding tools and ensure manufacturability of plastic components. Ensure designs meet compliance and regulatory standards (e.g., CE, UL, RoHS) and internal robustness requirements. Perform engineering activities and studies for product excellence - DFM, robustness testing, regulatory standard testing according to IEC61010 Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure effective mechanical-electrical integration. Conduct mechanical design reviews, risk assessments and mitigation, project validation activities within assigned project scope. Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies, tools, and documentation practices. Provide hands-on support in designing, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting. Support Mechanical Engineering Manager in global efforts for estimating mechanical work scope and supports project outcomes. 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or related field. Strong competence in plastic part design and mechanical assemblies. Proficiency in CAD design, experience with Creo/ProEngineer is strongly preferred - 3D modeling, creation of drawings with GD&T, and data management. Hands‑on experience with prototyping, iterative design, and testing. Ability to solve complex engineering problems using established best technical practices Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams. Understanding of compliance and regulatory standards for plastic and hardware products. Demonstrated hands-on experience in prototyping and iterative design. A strong sense of self-discipline, integrity and ownership.
