WE CURRENTLY HAVE AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR AN EXPERIENCED SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER TO JOIN OUR WA AIR CONSTRUCTION TEAM LOCATED IN BAYSWATER.

Fredon is searching for a Mechanical Engineer to be responsible for the development of design documentation to ensure that project deliverables and design outcomes are achieved and on time. This role will also be responsible for maintaining and developing long-term relationships at all levels within the organisation and with prospective clients.

Responsibilities
  • Design of HVAC systems, including heat loads, duct sizing, pipe sizing, equipment selections
  • Lead the delivery of robust an cost-effective designs for various projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant codes and standards including NCC and Australian standards
  • Review drawings and specifications and assist draftsman to produce fully detailed workshop drawings
  • Preparation of commissioning management plan and assisting project manager during the commissioning phase of the projects
  • Attend design and coordination meetings and collaborate with all stakeholders
  • Attend sites regularly to carry out inspections and produce reports for internal review and actions.
  • Consult with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Complete technician reviews of completed design work to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
  • Aid project team members as necessary.
  • Assess subcontractor and supplier submissions in relation to technical compliance with building codes, standards and project requirements.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior members of the team.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required
