Senior Mechanical Engineer  The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for leading all mechanical engineering aspects of transmission line projects, from design through execution. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership capability, and hands-on project involvement. Key Responsibilities: • Perform detailed mechanical calculations for loads such as wind, ice, seismic, and conductor tensions. • Develop and review design drawings, fabrication details, and engineering documentation. • Ensure designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. • Coordinate closely with civil, electrical, and structural engineering teams. • Participate in route selection and tower spotting activities. • Provide technical support during procurement, including vendor evaluations and material approvals. • Oversee fabrication, erection, and stringing activities at project sites. • Identify and resolve engineering issues during the project lifecycle. • Monitor project progress and provide technical input for scheduling and cost control. • Ensure compliance with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, and other relevant codes. • Lead mechanical engineering deliverables for transmission line projects. • Approve technical designs and ensure quality assurance. • Conduct site inspections and technical audits. • Manage and mentor junior engineering staff. • Interface with clients, consultants, and contractors. • Support project management in risk assessment and mitigation.   Candidate Profile: • Minimum of four years’ experience in transmission line or power infrastructure projects. • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD, SAP2000, or similar. • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline. • Strong project coordination and leadership skills. • Extensive experience in transmission line engineering and project execution. • Strong knowledge of tower design, line hardware, and mechanical performance. • Ability to manage multidisciplinary coordination effectively. • Proven leadership and team management skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. • Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
