Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC Plumbing & Fire Systems) Department: Construction, Engineering, & Skilled Trades Employment Type: Full Time Location: Florida Compensation: $120,000 - $180,000 / year Description We are searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead building system design of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. This is a leadership position to establish the mechanical team for a growing healthcare focused MEP firm. Key Responsibilities Establish an HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection team. Manage and mentor junior engineers. Needs to be able to be hands on and must know REVIT Must know production Develop technical deliverables, including construction plans & specifications. Coordinate with clients on project requirements and status updates. Coordinate with regulatory agencies to understand local permitting requirements and submit permit documents for review and approval. Perform construction administration duties, including attending and documenting project meetings, conducting site visits, reviewing shop drawings, and assisting with the development of change order, closeout, and other construction documentation. Perform onsite construction observation and inspection. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program. 10-20 years of related experience P.E. License Revit experience. Strong written and oral communication skills with both internal employees and external clients.
