Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of professional experience, primarily with engineering consultancy firms, and a strong background in both design and supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience, predominantly with engineering consultancy firms.
  • Proven expertise in both mechanical design and supervision for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
  • Strong knowledge of local authority regulations
  • Proficiency in design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and liaise with clients.
  • Professional registration or certification (e.g., PMP, LEED AP) is an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Design Responsibilities:
    o Develop and review detailed mechanical designs, calculations, and technical specifications for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems.
    o Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and local authority requirements.
    o Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical) to ensure seamless integration of designs.

o Prepare tender documents, including technical specifications, and design drawings.

  • Supervision Responsibilities:

o Oversee on-site installation and execution of mechanical works to ensure adherence to approved designs and specifications.
o Conduct site inspections, review shop drawings, material submittals, and provide technical guidance to contractors.
o Monitor project progress, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with the project schedule.

o Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to avoid delays or additional costs.

  • Coordination and Reporting:

o Act as the primary point of contact for mechanical works with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
o Attend project meetings, provide progress updates, and prepare detailed reports for management and clients.
