ABOUT THE ROLE:

This exciting opportunity is based at JCB Power Systems, our dedicated engine development centre in Foston, Derbyshire. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be joining a passionate and innovative team at the forefront of powertrain technology, including cutting-edge developments in hydrogen and combustion engines. WHAT DOES THIS ROLE INVOLVE DAY TO DAY?

• Solve a range of engineering problems from new concept design to current product issue resolution
• Lead the definition of detailed models, full engine assemblies, and supporting design documentation
• Mentor junior engineers and support ICE platforms (including Hydrogen), taking designs from concept to production
• Collaborate with internal customers to integrate engine solutions into heavy-duty products
• Use CAD (Siemens NX preferred) to produce and validate designs with supporting technical documentation
• Apply and check GD&T standards and ensure design accuracy
• Conduct benchmarking to inform and improve design effectiveness
