Responsibilities Our newest opportunity is for talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our award-winning team based in Amman, Jordan. Distance work can be considered if the candidate is based in their home nation (Outside of the GCC). This critical role will work as part of the Infrastructure team, responsible for the production, verification and assessment of technical designs, plans and associated documentation during the different stages of infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant engineering and project requirements. We envisage success in this role to include: Performing preliminary and detailed design of mechanical elements in wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations. Producing design information as outlined in the design brief and the design philosophy in line with authorities requirements and as agreed with the Project Manager/Team Leader. Ensuring all calculations and drawings are prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Authority Standards and Codes of Practice as per the project location and requirements. Reviewing, approving and processing all mechanical technical submittals. Designing of mechanical elements in wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations. Preparing and reviewing of technical reports, design drawings, and other deliverables. Coordinating and technical guidance to CAD Drafters to produce drawings. Attending online client meetings, as necessary. Qualifications To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and more than 10 years of experience in designing mechanical elements in wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations. Having a membership of a professional institution is desirable. Furthermore, you should demonstrate: Proven experience as part of a multidisciplinary team providing design on large scale developments. Experience with regional municipalities.
