An opportunity exists for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join Klohn Crippen Berger’s Power and Transportation Group based in Vancouver. Our recent hydroelectric projects include work on water control gates, large valve, turbines, penstocks and the balance of plant systems for hydroelectric generation stations (piping, pumping, HVAC, drainage). In addition to the hydroelectric projects, we also work with moveable bridges, cranes, and large pumping systems for mining projects.
The KCB mechanical group has several senior engineers with between 15 and 40 years of experience in our industry, as well as several intermediate and junior engineers. The group has enough experience to allow mentorship of career and technical advancement but is small enough that we have a close-knit team who regularly works together.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of related design experience
  • Professional designation with EGBC or eligibility to apply within the year
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong working knowledge of MSWord, Excel, Mathcad, Revit, Inventor, SolidWorks and hydraulic design software
  • Ability to technically review the work of others
  • Ability to project manage for a variety of engineering projects.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills, with demonstrated report writing skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

The salary for this position is $105,000 to $180,000 per year. Salary is based on applicable experience, education, and skill level. In addition to salary total rewards includes:

  • Hybrid work opportunities
  • Annual performance and salary review
  • PSMJ’s supported track record of profitability, leading to above average bonus payouts
  • Vacation policy that aligns to your experience
  • Paid OT, and wellness days
  • Flexible benefits, including RSP, social, and mental well-being initiatives
  • Commitment to global ESG standards

We are a global organization committed to employment equity. We respect the uniqueness that makes you, you. We encourage applications from all qualified career seekers, regardless of gender, sex, religion, or nationality.
