Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d) to oversee and streamline the mechanical engineering processes in our biomass power plant and CleanTec facility projects in local & international market. This role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in mechanical design, PDM systems, and team management, as well as exposure in international project coordination. Key Responsibilities:- Project Coordination and Management Coordinate with project managers, mechanical engineers, vendors, and EPC contractors to ensure that all mechanical engineering deliverables are met on time and within scope. Oversee the mechanical design processes, including piping design, component specification, and integration of systems within power plant projects. Ensure that all mechanical designs adhere to project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to timelines. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders on all mechanical engineering matters. Exhibit strong team leadership and management skills to coordinate with a team of mechanical designers and engineers and facilitate communication with other department Mechanical Design and Quality Assurance Must be familiar with Product Data Management (PDM) systems. Utilize CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, for the development and review of mechanical designs, ensuring that all designs are optimized for efficiency and manufacturability. Conduct thorough quality control and assurance reviews on mechanical engineering tasks to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Oversee the compliance and adaptation of mechanical designs and processes. Qualifications & Experience:- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or equivalent is an added advantage. Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering coordination, with substantial exposure to power plant design and construction projects. Experience in piping design, mechanical component design, and the integration of these elements in medium to large-scale projects. Experience in using PDM systems for managing engineering data and ensuring compliance with project requirements. Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Strong experience in team management. Experience in biomass or renewable energy projects. Very fluent in both German & English languages. Working Conditions:- The working hours are 40 hours per week and include limited travel, primarily for project-specific on-site visits. Why Join Us?
