Job Summary Join our collaborative engineering team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, where you’ll play a key role in the end-to-end development of cutting-edge cooling systems. From concept to post-sale support, you'll contribute to the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of products and components. You'll also provide cross-functional support and ensure compliance with ISO standards. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of new products and components in a hands-on, collaborative environment Create and maintain detailed fabrication drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and assembly instructions Develop product submittals based on customer applications and site-specific requirements Manage the product library across all lifecycle phases: R&D, Commercialization, Release, and Obsolescence Improve existing product designs for enhanced performance, reliability, serviceability, and manufacturability Support Service, Installation, and Applications teams with technical questions and troubleshooting Mentor junior engineers Travel occasionally to supplier and customer sites to support development and deployment Requirements Requirements Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience 8+ years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, and GD&T application Expert-level proficiency with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM Experience supporting a manufacturing product line from design through production Demonstrated focus on designing for manufacturability and serviceability Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail Skilled in problem-solving, technical writing, and statistical analysis Knowledge of refrigerants, refrigeration components, and/or equipment cooling systems is a strong plus Why Join Opticool?
