Position Summary: The Senior Mechanical Engineer is a technical leader responsible for designing and developing advanced thermal management and production solutions for high-performance systems, with a focus on large-scale, complex projects in data center, high-density, and manufacturing applications. This role requires deep expertise in thermal calculations, liquid cooling technologies (including RDHX and CDU), design for manufacturability, and experience leading cross-functional teams. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will drive technical strategy, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and business functions to ensure successful execution of complex projects. The position bridges high-level strategy and hands-on implementation, ensuring innovative, reliable, and efficient cooling and production solutions for mission-critical environments. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage complex engineering projects from initial sale through shipment, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination. Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to ensure efficient, cost-effective production and maintain DFM guidelines within the engineering team. Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement. Optimize processes and propose cost-saving initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce manufacturing costs. Manage vendor relationships and component purchasing, ensuring timely delivery and resolving supply chain challenges. Research and recommend technology improvements for existing products and drive innovation in design and manufacturing practices. Develop and track performance metrics for projects, production handoffs, and departmental improvements. Provide leadership and mentorship, including facilitating engineering meetings, training programs, and supporting the development of subject matter experts. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and manufacturing operations. Qualifications & Requirements: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline. 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or production engineering environments. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Solid project management experience, including planning, scheduling, and resource coordination. Hands-on jobsite or field experience with installation, commissioning, or troubleshooting of systems. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and proven ability to collaborate across business units to drive efficiency and quality. Preferred: Experience with RDHX, CDU, or liquid cooling systems. Experience in mentoring drafting engineering and manufacturing teams. Key Competencies: Strong analytical and technical skills.
