QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant professional experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience.
  • Experience with design, development, and/or production of mechanical equipment and/or hardware, preferably for use in Military environments.
  • Experience in the development, creation, release, and/or updates of mechanical technical data packages (TDP).
  • Experience with ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T (Geometric Dimension and Tolerances)

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER

  • Advanced degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or hardware systems design.
  • Experience working in a factory supporting development, low-rate as well as full-rate production of missile components and assemblies.
  • Working knowledge of Military and Commercial Specifications.
  • Experience with CREO (Pro/E) or similar 3D solid modeling software.
  • Experience with PTC Windchill Product Data Management or equivalent configuration/data management software.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Mechanical Engineering Lead (focal point) for AURM (All Up Round Magazine) on IFPC.
  • Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components, sub-assemblies, for tactical missile systems and equipment in accordance with system requirements.
  • Collaborate across multiple disciplines including Structural & Thermal Analysts, Materials Engineering, Quality, Safety, Supply Chain, Operations, and Program Leadership.
  • Support the factory and suppliers (domestic) with product development, assembly, obsolescence, and troubleshooting.
  • Interface with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges.
  • Support and participate in design peer reviews, resolve action items, and conduct trade studies to make sound technical decisions.
  • Support Systems Integration & Testing group as needed for testing.
  • Working knowledge of First Article Inspection process (FAI) and work alongside Quality engineers in support of that in addition to Raytheon Source Inspection (RSI).
  • Apply knowledge and experience in technical problem solving and hardware development in a fast paced and challenging team environment.
  • Work with limited supervision and meet commitments for assigned schedule, financial, and technical goals.
  • Mentor and guide a small team of engineers within the program.
  • Utilize Raytheon hardware tools and processes.
