With plenty of industrial, commercial, and residential work on the books, this growing organization is looking to grow their team. The successful candidate will be joining an experienced team reporting into dynamic and hands-on leaders.
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will leverage their extensive experience in assessment, design, and analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the integrity of mechanical requirements including scope, costing and scheduling, reviewing calculations, specifications, drawings, datasheets, etc. from concept to detailed engineering. Ensuring all work is designed, specified and complies with regulatory requirements, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations. This role demands a high level of expertise in mechanical engineering.

REQUIREMENTS

· 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in municipal infrastructure.
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a P.Eng designation
· Strong knowledge of mechanical analysis, material properties, and design principles.
· Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools.
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

· Perform mechanical analysis and design of all mechanical services.
· Develop technical reports, drawings, and specifications for mechanical projects.
· Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other team members to develop integrated designs.
· Ensure compliance with Code and Legislations and other relevant standards.
· Conduct site inspections and provide field support during construction.
· Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
