Duration: 1 year with a good possibility of extension
Location: Uppsala
Work Hours: 7.67 hours/day, 5 days/week. On-site.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will be responsible for new construction and drawing creation in the CAD tool Creo and releasing details in the Windchill/Magic system. You will be part of a team of other mechanical engineers in new development projects.
As a Mechanical Engineer with us, you will have the opportunity to develop the next generation of chromatography systems, including UV cells and motion mechanics. You will collaborate in cross-functional teams with other mechanical engineers and engineers responsible for optics, electronics, application knowledge, and software. In your work, you will develop and evaluate new ideas and designs and ensure that we choose the right manufacturing technology for series production. We are looking for someone with broad technical competence, as our mechanical components are produced using injection molding or die casting, machining, welded sheet metal, and various 3D printing techniques for metal and plastic.
REQUIREMENTS:
Prevas is seeking a subcontractor for an assignment with our client, a large life science company located in central Uppsala. Join our customers R&D Hardware department, which consists of nearly 90 people. The recruiting manager’s section, Hardware Engineering, includes about 18 mechanical engineers working on various new development projects. We are looking for additional Mechanical Engineers due to the high workload.
Together, we develop the next generation of products for research and large-scale production of pharmaceuticals and vaccines. We use modern development tools, such as Creo for 3D CAD and Ansys for FEA/CFD calculations/simulations. We invest in modern technology like 3D printing, laser welding, and bonding. Our prototype workshop is equipped with the latest 3D printers for plastic and metal, laser welding and bonding equipment for plastic, and CNC machines for machining.
