JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical engineering and demonstrate expertise in system design, project scheduling, and problem-solving. This role involves leading projects from initial concept through completion, ensuring adherence to ASME codes and industry standards. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions that meet client requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design, drafting, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks and Creo.
  • Strong understanding of ASME codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with root cause analysis techniques for engineering problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Arduino for control system integration.
  • Exposure to advanced simulation or automation technologies.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve design issues effectively.
  • Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks.
  • Apply GD&T principles to create accurate schematics and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are production-ready, including CNC machining processes.
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate designs under various conditions.
  • Engage in system design and simulation using tools such as Simulink, LabVIEW, and MATLAB.
  • Integrate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) into mechanical systems to enhance functionality.
  • Apply knowledge of quantum engineering principles to relevant innovative projects.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting best practices and professional growth.
