For almost 60 years, VETUS has been an internationally operating developer, manufacturer and trading company, selling marine engines, generators, electrical motors and technical equipment for recreational craft and small commercial vessels. An important part of our philosophy is to offer innovation through design. We supply almost 4.000 technical products that are mostly designed or partly designed by the VETUS engineering team.

SENIOR MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER – INNOVATIVE MARINE PROPULSION

Vetus is seeking a highly skilled and creative mechanical engineer to play a key role in the development of a revolutionary retractable propulsion system. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge marine technology, designing and engineering mechanical systems that seamlessly integrate into modern vessels.
We are looking for a pragmatic and hands-on engineer who thrives in an innovative environment, can manage projects from concept to market launch, and enjoys tackling complex mechanical challenges. The role requires strong expertise in mechanical design, kinematics, and system integration, along with the ability to collaborate with external development and production partners.

• Lead the mechanical development of innovative marine propulsion solutions.
• Oversee the full product lifecycle, from concept, prototyping, and validation to production handover.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, external suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
• Ensure designs meet functional, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
• Support improvements and optimizations of existing Vetus products.
• Provide technical expertise to Sales, Service, and Marketing teams when required.
