Description

OVERVIEW

Pragmatic Semiconductor is revolutionising semiconductor fabrication with flexible integrated circuit (FlexIC) technology that makes it quick and easy to embed intelligence almost anywhere. Using thin-film transistor (TFT) technology in combination with conventional semiconductor processing equipment, Pragmatic FlexIC Foundry service takes FlexICs from tape-out to delivery in around six weeks, enabling agile iterations, early end-user testing, and an accelerated time to market – at a fraction of the cost of silicon.
Driven by passion and innovation, our teams design and manufacture products that tackle real-world global challenges, with our core values embedded in every process and decision.
We are on the search for an individual to apply mechanical and electronics expertise to the design and development of unique tooling to facilitate the manipulation and processing of our range of FlexICs. You will work with internal teams, program managers and outsourced engineering partners to expand the delivery formats in which FlexICs are offered and will drive the build of proof-of-concept prototypes, commission the outsourced development of high-volume production equipment and sign-off its end use. In this role, there will be an emphasis on supporting the development of Back End processes, particularly those associated with high throughput techniques such as roll-to-roll processing and flip-chip pick-and-place. You will contribute to developing high-volume processing on new and existing equipment and enabling successful handover to Operations.
The ideal candidate should have experience working in project-based teams with a range of experience levels and be able to mentor apprentices, technicians & engineers and offer guidance on mechanical and electrical design. The ability to explain complex concepts clearly and inspire professional growth is essential for this role.
