Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior MECM Engineer to join a Federal Government Program located in Chantilly, VA through 100% full onsite presence. The Senior MECM Engineer will design & implement secure, large-scale Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) solutions across classified networks, focusing on patching, app deployment, and OS provisioning for 600,000+ endpoints.

Responsibilities of the Senior MECM Engineer include:

  • Design and implement MECM solutions for secure, classified DOD environments
  • Manage endpoint security and patching across SIPRNet and other secure networks, including zero-day remediation
  • Package and deploy applications using MECM, including building custom packages and managing enterprise-wide rollouts
  • Support PXE-based Operating System Deployments (OSD) across geographically distributed locations
  • Utilize MECM reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, custom queries) to track patch compliance and deployment success
  • Automate tasks and troubleshoot issues using PowerShell and other scripting tools
  • Integrate MECM with enterprise systems like Active Directory, WSUS, Intune, and third-party security platforms

Qualifications of the Senior MECM Engineer include:

  • 5+ years of experience with a related degree, or 10+ years without a degree in IT systems engineering or endpoint management
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) in large, enterprise environments
  • Experience supporting secure/classified networks, including SIPRNet, with strong understanding of DoD security protocols
  • Proficiency in application packaging, patch management, and PXE/OSD deployment across distributed systems
  • Hands-on scripting skills, especially with PowerShell, for automation and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with MECM reporting tools, such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and custom queries
  • Experience integrating MECM with enterprise tools like Active Directory, WSUS, Intune, and third-party security solutions

Compensation for the Senior MECM Engineer includes:

  • Salary Range: $150,000-$160,000 depending on experience
