QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in public relations, coommunity outreach, government affairs, or strategic communications.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-stakeholder engagements and managing complex projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Political Science, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Active Secret required
  • Ability to travel 10 -15 %, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in communications, Public Affairs, International Relations, Public Administration, or related discipline
  • Experience working with military or defense organizations, especially in Hawaii or the Indo-Pacific region
  • Familiarity with Hawaii’s local culture, history, and community organizations
  • Experience with legislative tracking, government affairs, and public policy
  • Proficiency in a language spoken in the Indo-Pacific region
  • Experience with digital communications, social media management, and analytics
  • Prior experience in crisis communications or emergency response

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,325 to $188,875.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

As a Project Delivery Manager on the project, you will:
Act as a key member of Team Hawaii, supporting the Commander under this client. This role fosters collaboration, innovation, and coordination among State and local government agencies, military commands, the Hawaii National Guard, academic institutions, industry partners, stakeholders, and community organizations. The incumbent works to address community concerns and build trust regarding the Department of Defense’s presence in Hawaii. The position advances client’s objectives by enhancing the survivability of conventional forces, integrating messaging capabilities for tactical, operational, and strategic effects, and organizing symposiums and meetings to facilitate information dissemination and technical transfer.
