Description Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Assistant to join our dermatology practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent interpersonal skills, and a thorough understanding of dermatologic procedures. This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth clinical operations and supporting physicians. Essential Functions: Assist providers during medical and cosmetic procedures (e.g., biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, laser treatments, and injectables) Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and supplies Obtain and document patient history, vitals, and reason for visit Administer medications and perform procedures as directed by the physician Scribe for providers during patient visits (as needed) Ensure accurate and timely charting in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards Monitor workflow and assist with optimizing efficiency in patient care Coordinate patient care, including follow-up appointments, referrals, and prescription refills Maintain clinical inventory and order medical supplies Ensure adherence to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines Requirements Education, Skills, and Experience: Certified Medical Assistant or Registered medical Assistant strongly preferred Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in dermatology or similar outpatient clinical setting Proficiency in dermatologic terminology and common procedures Strong EMR experience; experience in ModMed/EMA strongly preferred Currently BLS/CPR/AED certification Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times
Responsibilities
