Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a meticulous and passionate Medical Editor ready to ensure excellence in groundbreaking healthcare communications?
We’re on the lookout for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Editor to join our dynamic and supportive team! This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the quality and accuracy of scientific content for some of the biggest names in pharma, working on high-profile accounts that are truly changing lives.
This isn’t just an editing role; it’s an opportunity to join a people-focused agency that has a heavy emphasis on personal wellbeing and the needs of its team members. We foster a culture where you’ll be working with friendly and supportive teams who genuinely care about your success and growth. We believe in the power of doing it together, collaborating closely to achieve shared goals and elevate our collective output.
You’ll be contributing to significant, multi-million-pound accounts with global reach, ensuring the highest standards for materials that have real-world value in the healthcare industry. We are committed to doing the right thing – upholding the highest ethical and scientific standards in all our communications. We offer hybrid working from our vibrant London or Manchester offices, or the option for fully remote work, allowing you to thrive wherever you are.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Senior Medical Editor, you’ll be at the heart of our quality control, responsible for:

  • Ensuring Editorial Excellence: You’ll be editing for key accounts to ensure excellence in the quality, accuracy, clarity, and functionality of a wide range of material types across diverse therapy areas. This means incredible variety in your day-to-day work, all contributing to the best work of our lives.
  • Shaping Processes: You’ll contribute to the development of style guides and editing processes, refining our editing workflow to maintain our high standards.
  • Leading & Mentoring: You’ll have the opportunity to line manage junior editors, guiding and developing the next generation of talent, fostering a spirit of doing it together.
  • Making a real impact: Your meticulous eye will directly support therapies in areas like cardio-renal metabolic disease, and potentially neuroscience, immunotherapy, and dermatology, ensuring all communications are flawless and impactful. This is about more than just words; it’s about doing the right thing for patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Expanding your horizons: We’re committed to your growth. You’ll have ample opportunities to expand your role and get involved with tasks beyond editing, such as company initiatives, research projects, and even new business development, all contributing to the best work of our lives.
  • Shaping your career: We encourage you to steer and manage your own learning, with plenty of on-the-job training and mentorship to help you progress your career in the direction you choose.
