We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Performing teaching and learning activities, including preparing and developing teaching materials, delivering lecture, tutorials, and laboratory classes; Supporting all aspects of academic activities through course planning, development, coordination and delivery in related discipline(s); Providing clinical teaching to students and support clinical practicum in hospitals; Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research project(s); Participating in programme development and accreditation exercises; Providing training and supervising laboratory staff to prepare the necessary materials and equipment for setting up laboratory class; Writing up standard operation procedures to set-up and maintenance of equipment(s); Ensuring the safety and security related issues in the laboratories; and Performing any other duties as assigned by the Dean of School of Nursing and Health Sciences or his/her nominee(s). Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognized higher degree in medical laboratory science or a related discipline; Hold a Part 1 registration and a valid practicing certificate with the Medical Laboratory Technologist Board of HKSAR; Have substantial professional experience in Hematology, blood transfusion, Clinical Chemistry and Medical Laboratory Science; Relevant teaching experience at tertiary level would be an advantage; and Strong communication skills and the ability to use English as the medium of instruction. The level of appointment depends on the candidate’s academic background, experience and competence in academic leadership, teaching, research, scholarly publications, etc. Fractional appointment will also be considered for successful applicant(s).
