Senior Medical Officer - Day Care Dialysis Department: Clifton Medical Services Entity: Aga Khan University Hospital Location: Karachi, Pakistan Introduction: The Aga Khan University Hospital in addition to its five Hospitals creates access through its Outreach Services which include Clinical Laboratories, Outpatient Medical Centres, Pharmacy services, Home Health and other services. Outreach Services are designed to provide primary to secondary healthcare services to patients near their homes and are present in several cities across Pakistan. Outpatient Medical Centres offer a range of specialty clinics including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Cardiopulmonary, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics and Physiotherapy, and cater to children, adults, and elderly patients for general health checks or specific disease consultations. Responsibilities: You are required to: Perform initial assessment, including patient history and physical examination for dialysis patients. Ongoing monitoring and care of patients in an outpatient/ Day care setting according to the management plan. Consent is obtained before dialysis, and all applicable clauses are encircled in the consent form. Accurate surgical site marking and verification for identified group of patients / procedures as per policy and perform time-out before procedure and sign-out after procedure. Order radiological and other diagnostic studies such as ECG, EEG, EMG, Ultrasounds, X-ray chest, CT scans etc. Review of blood, urine test reports, X-rays, CT scans, U/S reports and scans etc. Order medications according to prescription and guidelines. Perform minor procedures such as venipuncture, arterial blood sampling, foley’s catheter insertion etc. Maintain complete documentation of procedure in patient file. Requirements: You should have MBBS degree and additional diploma, MCPS, FCPS-I or MRCP-I 2-3 years of relevant experience a valid license from Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and BLS Certificate ability to work independently and with teams ability to work under pressure on different rotations/shifts strong interpersonal and communication skills Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
Responsibilities
