Responsibilities

SENIOR MEDICAL PRACTITIONER AT WESTERN PLAINS CORRECTIONAL CENTRE, LOCATED IN LARA FOR A FULL TIME ROLE AND PART -TIME.ATTRACTIVE BASE SALARY OF $350,000.00, FREE PARKING, REWARD AND RECOGNITION PROGRAMS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT BENEFITS.+ $10,000 SIGN ON BONUS.+ RELOCATION OPPORTUNITY.

About the roles
The Senior Medical Practitioner will provide and supervise medical care to prisoners by delivering and evaluating medical programs and medical services required and/or provided.
The Senior Medical Practitioner coordinates hours of service and on-call responsibilities in consultation with the Health Services Manager and the Director, Medical Services.
Opportunities exist for a Full-Time, Senior Medical Practitioner at the Western Plains Correctional Centre. Salary package for full-time position is $350,000.00 + Super.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

  • Valid Australian driver’s licence and the ability to travel between locations.
  • Ability to work within a prison setting, which will involve direct contact with people in prison associated with the delivery of healthcare.
  • Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Working outside of ordinary business hours may be required.
