MINIMUM EDUCATION

  • MD, PharmD, or PhD (in biological sciences strongly preferred)
  • Clinical experience in a relevant therapeutic area OR track record of success as an MSL that can be referenced can be substituted for a doctoral degree

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • Industry experience (preferably >3 years)

  • Office is home based. Travel within region 3-4 days per week with 1-2 office days per week

Responsibilities

INTRODUCTION TO ROLE:

As a Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) at Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease, you’ll be at the forefront of scientific innovation, strategically supporting our medical and scientific objectives throughout the product lifecycle. This field-based role involves engaging with Healthcare Practitioners (HCPs) and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), fostering collaboration opportunities, and mentoring other MSLs. With your established relationships and expertise, you’ll navigate challenges and drive impactful HCP engagement plans. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

HCP relationship management

  • Evaluate your territory to identify and engage with HCPs and important centers of excellence.
  • Develop and refine impactful HCP engagement plans aligned with strategic goals.
  • Gain HCPs’ trust by effectively communicating relevant scientific/medical information.
  • Gather and disseminate HCP insights internally to inform medical strategy.
  • Build strong working relationships in various external business settings.
