Purpose of the role: The role of the Senior Medical Scientist is to co-ordinate and lead medical scientist staff in addition to medical laboratory assistants in achieving departmental objectives. To provide support for the development of services embracing continuous quality improvement and the management of change necessary to achieve organisational goals.
