I’m working with an independent healthcare communications agency looking for a Medical Writer who brings scientific understanding, good writing skills and a spark of curiosity.

This is a small, close-knit team who work closely together and enjoy sharing ideas. They spend one day a week together in their London office, and keep that sense of connection throughout the week through regular communication and support when working remotely.

Medical writing will be at the heart of your role. You’ll work across pharmaceutical accounts, turning clinical evidence into clear, engaging communications. Typical deliverables include webinar slide decks, congress materials, detail aids and HCP education content, with opportunities to contribute to wider creative and brand communications projects.

What makes this opportunity interesting is the team around you. You’ll sit alongside copy and design colleagues, working closely with an experienced Creative Director and Senior Medical Writer. There’s support to strengthen your scientific writing and, as you develop, scope to explore more of the thinking and ideas behind healthcare communications.

• You could be a good fit if you:Have medical writing experience within a medical communications, healthcare advertising or medical education agency.
• Hold a science degree and are confident working with clinical evidence.
• Care about producing accurate, well-referenced content that people actually want to read.
• Enjoy asking questions, sharing ideas and thinking about how a message could work harder.
• Want to learn from experienced colleagues in a small, collaborative team.

You might already work in a creative healthcare agency, or come from medical education and be curious about broadening your experience. Either way, you don’t need to be an accomplished conceptual writer. You do need an interest in developing that side of your skills.

There’s flexibility on level, so I’d be interested in hearing from Medical Writers ready for a fresh challenge, as well as those beginning to take on Senior Medical Writer responsibilities.
