SENIOR MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKER (DAYS)

Location: Park Place, West Yorkshire
Hours: 36 hours per week
Salary: £25,927.20 per annum / £13.85 per hour + £15.35 overtime + £55 per sleep shift + On-Call paid £35 pw
Shifts: 11-hour shifts (7:45 am – 8 pm), 3-4 days per week, every other weekend and sleeps.
Rotas: Confirmed 3 weeks in advance, subject to service needs
Active Pathways is excited to announce an opportunity for a compassionate Senior Mental Health Support Worker to join our 10-bed rehabilitation service, Park Place, in Leeds. This residential service focuses on providing a step-down facility, helping individuals transition towards independent living.
As a Senior Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting residents to live as independently as possible while achieving their personal goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working with individuals with mental health issues.
  • A strong understanding of care plans and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A commitment to promoting recovery and social inclusion.

Responsibilities
  • Support and supervise Recovery Support Workers in assisting residents with daily living tasks to promote independence.
  • Provide personal care and ensure high-quality care delivery in line with evidence-based practices.
  • Act as a role model and take responsibility for the unit in the absence of management.
  • Mentor new staff and participate in ongoing staff development through supervision and training.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the well-being of service users is at the forefront of care.
  • Facilitate recovery-focused activities and support residents in achieving their personal goals.
  • Handle medication and maintain accurate care records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
