SENIOR MEP SUPERINTENDENT – DATA CENTER CONSTRUCTION

My client, a leading General Contractor are seeking a highly experienced Senior MEP Superintendent to lead the MEP scopes of large-scale Data Center construction projects
The MEP/Sr. MEP Superintendent will oversee and manage all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for the construction of a Data Center project in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP systems within the data center industry and a proven track record in leading MEP teams, managing subcontractors, and ensuring the timely and safe completion of complex MEP installations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of MEP experience in large-scale commercial or industrial construction, with at least 4 years in a superintendent or senior field leadership role.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience delivering hyperscale or co-location Data Centers or similar mission-critical facilities.
  • Deep understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including cooling systems, generators, UPS, switchgear, BMS, and fire protection.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specs, and schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors, vendors, and field staff effectively.
  • Commitment to safety and quality excellence.
  • Proficient with construction management software (Procore, BIM 360, etc.).
  • Willingness to be based on-site in Dallas, TX future travel may be required
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all field activities related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems from preconstruction through commissioning.
  • Coordinate MEP subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and consultants to ensure seamless integration and execution.
  • Lead site-based planning, scheduling, and sequencing of MEP activities to align with overall project timelines and milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, QA/QC programs, and project specifications.
  • Participate in constructability reviews, value engineering, and risk mitigation strategies during preconstruction.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, General Superintendent, and Client representatives to resolve issues and maintain alignment on project goals.
  • Monitor and report on progress, productivity, and performance of MEP trades.
  • Support commissioning and turnover activities, ensuring systems are tested and functional per project requirements.
