Senior Merchandiser Development (Based at Pelawatte) Linea Aqua is a swimwear manufacturer, established as a joint venture between MAS Holdings and Speedo International in 2001. Linea Aqua operates across Sri Lanka and Vietnam, and in addition to swimwear, also offers activewear solutions to select customers, providing a comprehensive service across performance and lifestyle categories. Along with servicing its joint venture partner, Speedo, the company also services premier international brands such as In Private, Aerie, and Land’s End, and is the go-to manufacturer for high-performance swimwear worn by Olympic athletes. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to develop a selected customer portfolio, managing the business process of order generation to order fulfillment and resource management including the raw material and plant capacity to ensure business growth whilst meeting customer expectations KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Guide sample development process to meet customer’s product acceptance criteria and work towards commercializing the development to ensure customer retention and growth. Follow up on customer forecasts / order placements, production planning & follow up orders with production updating systems to ensure order fulfilment. Provide information on costing/product information in order to facilitate management / operational decision making. Coordinate with work-study and monitor raw material consumption per style and ensure production parameters are maintained in order to facilitate on time delivery of goods to the customer. Ensure smooth order management through implementing the time & action plan, capacity management and addressing any foreseen delays by coordinating with the internal teams. Maintain working relationship with suppliers and ensure timely payment. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Degree in Marketing 3-5 years’ work experience in a similar capacity. Costing. Communication and negotiation. People training. Material knowledge. System (SAP) knowledge. Sound knowledge in development area. Flexibility in problem solving.

Responsibilities

The Senior Merchandiser will guide the sample development process to meet customer product acceptance criteria and ensure order fulfillment. They will manage the business process from order generation to resource management to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
