Are you passionate about driving merchandising strategy that delivers results? Are you experienced in designing and executing high-impact retail programs and promotions to accelerate business growth? Vrbo is seeking a Senior Merchandising Manager to lead and optimize our merchandising plans and promotional calendar. In this role, reporting to the Director, Business Operations – Vrbo, you'll use data and market insights to identify opportunities, develop winning on-site and marketplace merchandising strategies, and own execution across key touchpoints to drive conversion and maximize performance. This role may be based in either our Chicago or Austin offices. In this role, you will: Global/Local merchandising calendar: Lead execution of our global and local strategy for the Vrbo sales and merchandising calendar. Merchandising promotions: Analyze and size business merchandising opportunities leveraging multiple levers (e.g. limited-time offers, always-on messaging, and loyalty rewards). Homepage Governance: Lead homepage and landing page merchandising, working collaboratively with cross-functional partners in marketing, product marketing, loyalty, PR, and product. Merchandising execution: Lead and support the execution of traveler promotions on Vrbo, coordinating implementation across Marketing, Product, Strategy, Content, Legal, and Finance. Ensure timely implementation of our promotions and consistency in experience throughout the shopping funnel. Merchandising measurement & retro: Work with analytics to review merchandising performance and incrementality; optimize based on learnings. Lead the retro of merchandising sales and campaigns across cross-functional teams and propose appropriate action to improve future delivery. Traveler segment merchandising: Leverage data to define and personalize merchandising for key traveler segments and geographies. Test & Learn: Work with Product to hone test and learn cadence across our merchandising touchpoints. Competitive & Industry benchmarking: Keep a pulse on and benchmark against the travel category, key competitors and best in class merchandising. Experience and qualifications: Bachelor's degree (Marketing, Business Management, Economics), MBA Preferred 8+ years of business management, B2C ecommerce, B2C strategy, and/or retail management/merchandising experience Experience localizing global strategies for international markets Experience with A/B testing frameworks and expertise with traffic data sources Prior experience in project management within a B2C environment Experience working with stakeholders from across multiple subject areas to prioritize and mitigate issues Strong business insight with an ability to anticipate risks and identify contingency plans to minimize business disruption. Ability to analyze performance Communicates effectively, concisely, and tailored to the audience, honed listening skills A growth mindset, curiosity, high energy, and the drive to succeed in a collaborative, dynamic environment while fostering team engagement and organizational alignment. The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $146,000.00 to $204,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $233,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. The total cash range for this position in Austin is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
