Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview): The Senior Microsoft Cloud Engineer provides senior-level engineering, operational support, and technical leadership for Microsoft cloud environments, including Microsoft 365, Azure, identity services, collaboration platforms, and security tooling. The role is responsible for ensuring cloud systems are secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned to federal compliance requirements. \n What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities): Design, implement, operate, and optimize Microsoft 365, Azure, and Microsoft security services. Implement and maintain cloud security controls aligned to federal security standards, Zero Trust architecture, and Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Moderate requirements. Administer and secure identity services using Entra ID, conditional access, privileged access controls, and least-privilege models. Manage and support Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and related collaboration workloads. Support Azure infrastructure, application workloads, networking, troubleshooting, and hybrid integrations. Configure and manage Defender, Sentinel, Purview, and related platforms for threat protection, data governance, and response readiness. Produce technical documentation, training materials, reporting, and dashboards, including health, compliance, spend, and utilization reporting. Support incident response and disaster response playbooks and procedural documentation. What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements): Eight years of experience engineering and operating enterprise Microsoft cloud environments. Demonstrated ability to provide senior-level leadership and independent operational support for enterprise Microsoft cloud environments. Experience with hybrid Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Entra environments, endpoint management, Intune, Autopilot, and device policy delivery. Advanced experience with identity and access management, multi-factor authentication (MFA) transitions, smart cards, and Fast Identity Online (FIDO)-based authentication across Windows and macOS systems. Hands-on experience with Defender, Sentinel, Purview, and Microsoft cloud data sources and monitoring. Ability to support formal change management, technical documentation, and stakeholder advisory work. Ability to meet federal screening and suitability requirements prior to start. Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert. Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate. Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate. Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate. Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate. Microsoft Certified: Information Security Administrator Associate. These certifications (or their equivalents) must be current and maintained for a minimum of five years; expired or never-used certifications will not be considered. \n
