The role is about: We are looking for a Senior Mobile QA Engineer to join our banking technology team. In this role, you’ll ensure our Android, and iOS applications meet the highest standards of functionality, performance, and user experience. Your work will be essential to keeping our product stable, secure, and ready for production in a fast-moving fintech environment. Location: Hybrid in Cyprus Office or Remote from Europe. Reporting to: Product Manager (Mobile) What you will do: Test Planning & Documentation Develop risk-based test strategies and comprehensive test plans. Maintain traceability matrices and store all test artifacts in GitLab (Bonus) Write clear, reusable Gherkin scenarios (Given/When/Then). Manage test suites and execution records using Jira AIO Test Management. Publish actionable test run summaries and release readiness reports. Testing & Device Coverage Execute functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, upgrade, and rollback testing. Validate on real and virtual devices across various OS versions, locales, orientations, and network conditions. Network & API Validation Analyze network traffic using tools like Charles Proxy, Proxyman, or mitmproxy. Compare API request/response payloads against Swagger/OpenAPI contracts. Use Postman or cURL to validate REST or GraphQL endpoints Understand and work with HTTP status codes and API integrations. Backend & Integration Testing Analyze logs, database queries, and check for data integrity. Collaborate with developers and backend teams to ensure end-to-end quality. Bug Reporting & Triage Report issues in Jira with clear severity levels, reproduction steps, and logs/screenshots. Support defect triage and facilitate collaboration between developers, PMs, and QA. Release Readiness Manage test jobs in GitLab CI. Validate build artifacts and sign off on releases. Perform upgrade and rollback testing in coordination with DevOps and engineering teams. What we need: Must-Haves 3+ years of manual QA experience for native mobile apps (iOS & Android). Solid experience testing in Fintech, Banking, or Trading domains. High-quality test documentation practices (test plans, cases, checklists). Advanced use of Charles Proxy or equivalent tools for traffic analysis Hands-on API testing using Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and a strong grasp of REST APIs and HTTP. Comfortable with crash/log analysis using tools like Sentry, Xcode, or server logs. Familiarity with basic shell commands and bug reproduction tools. Nice-to-Haves Experience with QA automation frameworks. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Understanding of GitLab pipelines, CI/CD flows, and feature flags. Experience with JWT/OAuth, Protobuf, GraphQL, and microservices architecture. Experience using Jira AIO Test Management. Soft Skills & Communication Strong English communication skills, especially for bug reports and release notes. Proactive, structured, and detail-oriented. Able to collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
