Description:

Senior Mobile Test Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting Mobile’s device launches and maintenance releases (MRs), developing and maintaining test plans and strategies, performing triage of defects, coordinating with OEMs, and supporting other device technology initiatives, including the rollout of new features like Data Offload over WiFi and 5G SA.
This role requires working closely with cross-functional teams and device OEMs, and the ability to drive technical conversations regarding device defects and debugging. Candidates should be able to manage confidential projects and work efficiently in a collaborative environment.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of experience in device testing and certification (in-lab or field).
  • Strong understanding of wireless technologies, including VoLTE, VoNR, 4G, and 5G (SA and NSA).
  • 3+ years of experience in defect triage for Android or iOS devices.
  • 2+ years of experience using device logging tools such as QXDM, Shannon, etc.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • BS/BE degree in Engineering or a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of 4G, 5G (SA & NSA) call flows and network architecture.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a carrier lab and field certification environment with iOS & Android devices.
  • 2+ years of experience managing requirements in JIRA or similar tools.
  • Experience in device testing automation or knowledge of test scripting.
    Job Types: Full-time, Contract
    Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Support device validation and certification for Mobile device launches and maintenance releases.
  • Develop and maintain testing strategy, test plans, and test cases that align with Cox’s business requirements and user experience.
  • Collect logs and triage defects from device testing.
  • Coordinate debugging sessions with OEMs and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Assist in the rollout of new technologies and features, including wearables, data offload over WiFi, 5G SA, and VoNR.
  • Work closely with internal teams to deliver tasks necessary for successful product launches.
  • Conduct sanity test plans on existing automation platforms.
  • Ensure adherence to NDAs and manage confidential projects.
