Mō te Tūranga | About the Role This is a full time, permanent role with a requirement to work from the office three days a week. As part of BNZ's Digital Modernisation programme, you will play a crucial role in transforming our digital presence and enhancing customer engagement. This role involves developing and implementing modern technology foundations to build market-leading experiences. You will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders, to deliver connected and unified experiences across digital channels. As a Mobile Tester, you will ensure the quality and performance of BNZ's mobile applications. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying and reporting bugs, and working closely with developers to ensure that the apps meet the highest standards of quality. Your work will contribute to delivering a seamless and reliable mobile experience for our customers. What are the 5 day to day tasks the person will complete? Executing and Analysing Tests: The person will spend their days performing manual and automated tests for new features and bug fixes, then analysing the results to identify issues. Collaborating with the Agile Squad: A key part of the role is working closely with developers and business analysts to discuss requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and ensure a shared understanding of quality. Writing and Maintaining Test Scripts: They will be responsible for creating and updating automated test scripts or manual testing of applications to improve our continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline. Investigating Bugs: The candidate will actively investigate reported bugs, reproduce issues, and provide detailed information to developers to help them find a solution quickly. Leading Quality Efforts: As a team member, they will mentor junior testers, help define testing strategies for new projects, and act as a go-to person for quality-related questions. What are some of the responsibilities of this role? Working with an agile product delivery team to develop a common understanding of the business requirements, and understanding underlying business intent, business procedures and systems. Thinking critically and laterally about test design, mitigating project risks through an appropriate test approach, and exploring the application to expose vulnerabilities beyond the business requirements. Working with developers to create appropriate automated checks using existing tools. Clearly communicating defects to the business and your agile team. Develop and implement modern technology foundations to enhance BNZ's digital presence. What specific skills and experience are required for this role? Proven experience in Xcode AND Android Studio. Proven experience with SwiftUI/XCUITest AND Jetpack Compose. Familiarity with Expresso is a bonus. Familiarity with Firebase Test Labs/ Jenkins/Xcode Cloud/Github Actions. Knowledge of the latest mobile technology/trends. What will success look like for the candidate in this role?
