Description The Senior Mortgage Loan Processor manages a pipeline of mortgage applications, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with FNMA, regulatory, and credit union guidelines. This role serves as a key liaison between members, loan originators, and internal partners, proactively resolving issues to meet processing and closing deadlines. The Senior Processor reviews and validates documentation, submits clean loan packages to underwriting, clears conditions efficiently, and supports team success through mentorship and process improvements. Location: Midtown Branch located in Santa Fe, NM Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Maintains proactive communication with loan originators, members, and internal partners to resolve issues and provide updates. Manages loan pipeline to meet service level agreements, processing timelines, and closing deadlines. Reviews applications to ensure alignment with FNMA, regulatory, and credit union guidelines. Communicates with applicants and members to request and clarify required loan documentation. Obtains, reviews, and validates borrower documentation (income, assets, credit, collateral) for accuracy and completeness. Prepares and submits complete, compliant loan packages to underwriting for approval. Submits clean, well-documented files to underwriting and efficiently clears conditions. Provides mentorship and workflow support to processors, contributing to team efficiency and process improvements.
