We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Multi-Trade Construction Project Management Professional (SMTCPMP) to lead large-scale construction projects and mentor the next generation of operational leaders. Position Overview The SMTCPMP is responsible for managing complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and multi-trade construction projects through all five PMI phases—Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing. This leader ensures projects are delivered safely, on scope, on budget, and on schedule, while driving communication between design, procurement, field teams, and operations. The role includes direct supervision of Project Managers and Site Supervisors, as well as significant responsibility for budget performance, client communication, and project execution excellence. Key Responsibilities Project Initiation & Planning Develop project charters, scopes, WBS/CBS structures, stakeholder registers, and communication plans. Participate in handoff meetings; lead project kickoff sessions. Establish project schedules, deliverables, and alignment with contractual requirements. Project Execution Lead field operations, subcontractors, material procurement, and equipment planning. Ensure on-site safety, quality assurance, and adherence to company standards. Manage documentation, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Project Monitoring & Controls Track and analyze project performance metrics including: cost variance, schedule variance, earned value, rework, labor forecasts, cash flow, and margin performance. Identify risks and corrective actions using Excel’s tracking and job-costing systems. Conduct regular project review meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Leadership & Team Development Mentor Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and field teams. Lead coaching sessions, performance evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Promote a culture aligned with Excel’s Core Values and EOS leadership model. Project Closeout Oversee punch list completion, inspections, turnover documentation, and final financial reconciliation. Conduct lessons-learned sessions and integrate improvements into company processes. Requirements Minimum Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred. Experience: · Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience · At least 3 years managing multimillion-dollar MEP or multi-trade projects Certifications: PMP preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months.
