We are looking for a Senior Multimedia Designer to be a member of our Strategic Communications program, a global team of communicators who are passionate about putting people first in planning and infrastructure. As a full-service community engagement and creative practice, we develop and implement ideas to bring people together in projects of every size and sector. We help people get to know each other, foster understanding, and build more connected, equitable, and sustainable communities. In the role of Senior Multimedia Designer, we'll count on you to: Plan, manage and deliver multimedia design deliverables, such as videos and print materials, from concept through completion to communicate to and educate the public and other stakeholders about community infrastructure projects. Ability to interpret and distill highly technical information for mainstream delivery. Utilize and edit photography or videography footage for use in materials and presentations. Produce 2D vector animations, video editing and sound mixing/voiceover editing for videos. Work with other designers on multicomponent projects, and partner with clients to shape deliverables. Attend client meetings and be prepared to discuss video production process, capabilities and limitations. Plan and coordinate own work with various business areas to meet deadlines, and direct others in production of work products as needed. Research technology/production techniques, and processes as necessary for each project Ensure quality control through approval of proofs and review/testing of materials before deployment Mentor, review projects and assist other designers with projects and programs Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Video Editing or Fine Arts related field of study or equivalent experience Experience with Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder, and/or Dreamweaver; offset printing/digital printing/color correction Experience with 3D animations. Experience with remediation software such as MadeToTag. Required Qualifications A minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) Microsoft Office suite Ability to design a wide variety of styles Eye for design details, such as typography, alignment, hierarchy, etc Strong portfolio showing design experience Understanding of branding/brand development, communications, and research Proficiency in customer service, strong communication and negotiation skills, flexibility, time management, project management, detail oriented, leadership, and teamwork Experience with Premiere, After Effects and Audition; ability and experience working on strategic campaigns (Video Designers Only) Offset printing/digital printing/color correction; ability to coordinate complex projects What We Believe HDR is our company.
