Position Overview We currently have an opportunity for an experienced civil engineer to join our Wisconsin South Team as Senior Engineer – Municipal Services in our Milwaukee, WI office. The selected candidate will manage municipal engineering projects, act as the point of contact in several communities, and oversee planning, design and construction services for clients throughout the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Key Responsibilities Collaborates on project pursuits with leadership staff and develops relationships with existing clients and prospects. Develops project approach, schedule, and budget; negotiates scope and fee and any contract amendments with client. Assists clients with identifying and applying for funding and obtaining necessary permits at the local, state, and federal levels. Develops high level design criteria and project work plan (PWP). Leads the project team and coordinates/manages tasks with other engineers, designers, and construction staff. Conducts project team coordination meetings and serves as the point of contact for the client on all project related matters; ensures QA/AC processes are implemented. Accountable for project performance and project deliverables; manages scope creep and takes corrective action as needed. Requirements B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (or similar) and WI PE license are required. 12+ years of broad-based experience as a civil engineer with a focus on municipal engineering. 5+ years of project management experience. Experience with the planning, design and construction of local roads, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and drainage projects. Experience with municipal government, advisory roles for capital budgeting, project development, and deliverables. Experience with project management functions including project scoping, schedule, budget development and QA/QC. Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop client relationships, market new business, make public presentations and write technical reports. Knowledgeable with civil/environmental design and modeling tools including one or more of the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Arc GIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoRAS, XP-SWMM. Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to client and project sites as needed. Compensation & Benefits Starting salary range: $114,400 – $ 139,984 + annual performance bonus.
