    We are seeking a marine turtle expert to coordinate a period of focused work in this critical area. Over the next 12 months, the primary focus of this role will be developing and designing the foundations for region wide monitoring and management of key turtle species, including, Green, Hawksbill and flatback turtles.
    The position will also support the Project Manager (Sea) in planning and coordinating other marine natural resource management projects focused on key values in collaboration with Traditional Owners and communities.
    The successful applicant will bring proven experience in sea turtle ecology, monitoring and management with strong demonstratable experience working in partnership with First Nations communities.
    They will be responsible for building and strengthening TSRAs networks within the research community, while also mentoring and upskilling local Rangers and community partners to build sustainable long-term capacity for turtle management across the region beyond the initial 12-month focus.
